Today’s the second article is about the origin of “Fortuna”.
Fortuna is the goddess of fortune and personification of luck in Roman religion.
(Equivalent to the Greek goddess Tyche)
She is the goddess for the wheel of fate and is said to decide one’s destiny.
She has a pot that has no bottom to symbolize that good luck has no limit, wears shoes in feather to symbolize that luck is elusive, stands on a unbalanced globe to symbolizes that fate is not determined,
Also Fortuna does not have back hair expressing that “luck” can’t be captured once it is passed. Even when you have the chance of her passing in front of you, it is too late to decide afterwards. It is said to that Leonardo da Vinci spread this tail.
