A tie woven with Nishijin textile. The surface has a motif of Sendai Azusa Date Masamune, a single eyed samurai who was fashionable during the Battles.
Riding on a horseback, he has his armor and Kabuto - a Japanese helmet – on, which is also the model for “Darth Vader” in “Star Wars”.
The dark navy used as a main color for the tie, was a color favored among Samurai warriors, while the gold stripe signifies the crescent moon on the Kabuto helmet. The calm and deep color of navy makes it easy to wear attire for business and other occasions.
On the lining behind the Great Sword is a pattern of flowers from the cherry blossom with a gold background. The cherry blossom is a symbol of reconstruction from the aftermath of earthquake in Sendai, which was the territory of Date Masamune.
Additionally, we use a 100% wool necktie interlining that gives the necktie more firmness and elegance, keeping the tie in shape.
