The second release in the FUJIYAMA Collection, featuring a classic herringbone pattern accented with repeating motifs of Red Fuji and Blue Fuji.
Set against the herringbone weave—known in Japan as Sugiya and often associated with growth and progress—the iconic Mount Fuji has long been regarded as a symbol of good fortune and prosperity. The result is a refined design that brings a touch of Japanese elegance and subtle playfulness to formal attire.
The lining features "Fine Wind, Clear Morning (Red Fuji)", one of the most celebrated masterpieces by Katsushika Hokusai. Red Fuji has traditionally been considered an auspicious symbol in Japan and is said by some to have been depicted from the Fujiyoshida side of Mount Fuji. Hidden beneath the tie, it expresses both the beauty of Japanese culture and wishes for good fortune.
This tie is crafted using Fujiyama-Ori, a textile woven in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, a region renowned for its weaving heritage spanning over 150 years and nourished by the pure spring water of Mount Fuji. The fabric is then carefully tailored in Kyoto, creating an authentic Made-in-Japan necktie that brings together the craftsmanship of two historic textile regions.
